Eligibility

The following parameters define what is considered eligible for the IDSOL competition. Ineligibility results in disqualification from the particular competition.

CONTESTANT ELIGIBILITY

• Secondary Division Data Science Olympian is a registered, valid contestant of any age who is enrolled in good standing at an academic institution, studying at the UNESCO ISCED Level 1-3 (“schooler”).

• Tertiary Division Data Science Olympian is a registered, valid contestant of any age who is enrolled in good standing at an academic institution, studying at the UNESCO ISCED Level 4-8 (“student”) or recently ceased being a student for any reason (e.g. graduation, hiatus, sabbatical, or work), where recency is defined as within three (3) years of cessation.

TEAM ELIGIBILITY

• Secondary Division Olympiad Team is a registered, valid group of contestants that is comprised of strictly only schoolers.

• Tertiary Division Olympiad Team is a registered, valid group of contestants that is comprised of either only students or a mix of schoolers and students.

PROJECT ELIGIBILITY

• Secondary Division Olympiad Project is a registered project delivered by a Secondary Division Olympiad Team.

• Tertiary Division Olympiad Project is a registered project delivered by a Tertiary Division Olympiad Team.

COMPETITION ELIGIBILITY

• Secondary Division Data Science Solution Architecture Competition is the competition arena for Secondary Division Olympiad Projects that were prepared and submitted with valid materials according to the submission parameters for the Solutions Architecture (ARC) Stream.

• Secondary Division Data Science Engineering Competition is the competition arena for Secondary Division Olympiad Projects that were prepared and submitted with valid materials according to the submission parameters for the Engineering (ENG) Stream.

• Tertiary Division Data Science Architecture Competition is the competition arena for Tertiary Division Olympiad Projects that were prepared and submitted with valid materials according to the submission parameters for the Solutions Architecture (ARC) Stream.

• Tertiary Division Data Science Engineering Competition is the competition arena for Tertiary Division Olympiad Projects that were prepared and submitted with valid materials according to the submission parameters for the Engineering (ENG) Stream.
