The following parameters define what is considered valid for the IDSOL competitions. Invalidity results in disqualification.
Team Name must be the same as the project name.
Team Size must be between one (1) and six (6) eligible participants.
Team Captain must be designated from the registered teammates, who will serve as the key contact person.
Team Supervisor is required for teams whose members are all under 18 years old, and must be an individual who is 18 years old or older.
Team Representation is decided by the representation of the majority of teammates; if there is no majority, the team may decide from the representation of their teammates.
Project Name must be the same as the team name.
Project Type is either a Solution Architecture (ARC) project or an Engineering (ENG) project.
Easy Name, i.e. choose a meaningful and descriptive name. Overly abstract or nonsensical names are discouraged.
Original Name, i.e. do not directly copy or infringe on any existing trademarks, copyrights, or intellectual property (IP) — unless consent is given by the IP holder.
Harmonious Name, i.e. offensive, profane, or otherwise inappropriate language is not allowed. Political statements and illegal or unethical references are also not tolerated.
Appropriate Length, i.e. be reasonably short and concise, no more than 3-4 words in length. Tip: have a tagline or short description to support the name.
KBI reserves the right to amend or disqualify a team or project if these parameters are not met or if amendments are not accepted.
